Charles Leclerc is puzzled by Ferrari's slow start to the 2025 Formula One season. Despite this, he remains hopeful for a turnaround at the Monaco Grand Prix. Currently, Leclerc is fifth in the drivers' standings and has secured Ferrari's only podium finish this season at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The team is fourth in the constructors' standings with 114 points after seven races.

Ferrari has struggled to compete with McLaren at the front, highlighting issues during the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix qualifying when both Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton failed to reach Q3. The team has identified a problem with their car's rear and is working on a new suspension, which might be ready before the British Grand Prix. Leclerc emphasised that Ferrari is not giving up on this season yet.

Leclerc expressed optimism about upcoming races, especially with new regulations affecting front wings in Barcelona. He stated, "No, we definitely don't want to give up now," during an FIA press conference. He believes these changes could be pivotal for Ferrari's performance this season.

Oscar Piastri of McLaren also seeks success in Monaco after finishing third at Imola. With six F1 wins this season, Piastri is close to achieving Australia's 50th victory in Formula One history. He has consistently scored points over his last 33 races and aims to extend this streak further.

McLaren leads both drivers' and constructors' standings with Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris performing strongly.
