Multipurpose school beat Black Elephant in Challenge Cup

Patiala, Jun 26 (UNI) The local Multipurpose Senior Secondary School defeated Black Elephant Cricket Club by 89 runs in the first Multipurpose Cricket Challenge Cup (Under-16) here today.

Batting first, Multipurpose School scored 181 runs in the allotted 35 overs. Vikrant (47), Siddhant (23), Sandeep (27) and Sompal (22) were the main run getters.

For Black Elephant Cricket Club, Vipin and Karan Kaila took two wickets each, conceding 37 and 29 runs respectively.

In reply, Black Elephant Cricket Club were all out for 93 runs in 30 overs. S Hayer (19), Vikrant (11) and Karan Kaila (11) were the main scorers. Three batsmen were run out.

Karan Sodhi and N Sharma took two wickets each, giving away 30 and 13 runs respectively.
