Melbourne, Feb 20 (ANI): Tiger Woods' mother has lashed out at the media's portrayal of her son, saying he had been treated like a "criminal".
"I am upset the way media treated him like he's a criminal - he didn't kill anybody, he didn't do anything illegal. They've being carrying on from Thanksgiving until now, that's not right," she said.
Woods walked directly to his mother when he finished his press conference, reports News.com.au.
After they embraced, she placed her hands on his shoulders to speak to him. She said she whispered in his ear, "I'm so proud of you. Never think you stand alone. Mom will always be there for you, and I love you."
During the conference, Woods, whose stunning fall from grace late last year captivated the sports world, made a public apology for "irresponsible and selfish behavior." (ANI)
