Jamshedpur, Jan 16 (PTI) Jharkhand Chief Minister,Arjun Munda today expressed apprehension that the frequentsuspension of movement of trains during night might hit theforthcoming 34th national games to be hosted by the state fromFebruary 12 to 26.
"The work to meet the deadline is going on war-footingand we are monitoring day to day progress as the Jharkhandgovernment is committed to conduct the games in a grandmanner," Munda told a press conference here.
However, the major setback to the games would befrequent suspension of movement of trains during night assportspersons, officials and guests would be reachingJamshedpur, one of the venues of the games, by trains, hesaid.
Demanding immediate resumption of night services oftrains, Munda said the issue would be taken up with therailway ministry.
Munda assured that the Jharkhand government wouldprovide adequate security to ensure uninterrupted movement oftrains during nights.
"We had written leters to the railway ministry toresume night movement of trains and will write again," hesaid.
Night services are on halt since the disaster of theJnaneshwari Express near Jhargram by suspected Maoists on May28 last.
