Napheesa Collier is set to face her Minnesota Lynx coach, Cheryl Reeve, in the WNBA All-Star Game. The league recently confirmed the coaches for this event. Minnesota boasts a 15-2 record, leading the league after a 92-75 win over the Washington Mystics. Collier contributed significantly with 28 points in that game.

Reeve's impressive record secured her position as one of the two All-Star coaches. She will join Sandy Brondello of the New York Liberty, who have a 12-5 record. Collier was already chosen as one of the two All-Star captains, finishing second in a public vote behind Caitlin Clark from Indiana Fever.

Collier vs. Reeve in WNBA All-Star Game

The coach with the best record pairs with the player who topped the vote. Therefore, Reeve will lead Team Clark and compete against her own player, Collier. Reeve has prior experience in this role; last year she coached Team USA in their preparation for a gold medal run at the Paris Olympics.

Brondello, who led Liberty to a 3-2 victory over Minnesota in the 2024 WNBA Finals, will guide Team Collier this year. The WNBA All-Star Game is scheduled for July 19 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

This year's All-Star Game promises an exciting matchup between familiar faces. With Reeve coaching Team Clark and Brondello leading Team Collier, fans can expect an engaging contest. Both coaches bring valuable experience and strategy to their respective teams.

The anticipation builds as players prepare to showcase their skills on this grand stage. The event not only highlights individual talent but also celebrates teamwork and sportsmanship within the league.
