Naresh to lead Haryana athletes

Chandigarh, Jan 30 (UNI) Naresh Malik of Hisar will lead the 31-member Haryana contingent in the 42nd National Cross Country Championship to be held at Goa on February 16.

According to Haryana State Athletic Association secretary Hanuman Singh Bhadu, the 31-member team was selected on the basis of the performance of the athletes during the State Cross Country Championship held at Sonipat on December 29.

The other members of the team are, Men: Satpal, Parmod Kumar (Rohtak), Jaibhagwan, Vijay Kumar (Yamunanagar), Karan Singh (Bhiwani), Ravinder Singh (Panipat), Ashwani, Devender (Sonipat), Naresh, Ajit Singh (Hisar), Birbal, Krishan, Amit Kumar (Jind), Pardeep Jakhar (Jhajjar).

Women: Renu, Pratibha (Yamunanagar), Ritu (Sonipat), Richa (Kurukshetra), Renu Joon, Jyoti, Manisha (Rohtak), Shushila, Poonam, Nitu, Meena, Ritu (Jhajjar).

Krishan Kumar (coach), Nisha (lady manager) and Rajkumar (manager) will accompany the team as officials.
