Nasser to lead Indian rugby team for Asian 5 Nations Tourney

Mumbai, Jun 9 (UNI) Nasser Hussain, the 28-year-old flanker from Bombay Gymkhana, will lead the 24-member Indian National Rugby Team for the Asian 5 Nations Division II Rugby Tournament, to be played in Bangkok from June 11.

40 probables attended the final training camp at Bombay Gymkhana since May 18, after which 24 players were picked by the Indian Rugby Football Union.

The four teams that feature in Division II are India, Thailand, Malaysia and Pakistan and India will play their first game against Thailand on June 11. A victory against Thailand will give them a chance to face off against the winner of the match between Malaysia and Pakistan on June 14.
