Nate Diaz hints of potential return date to UFC

Nate Diaz to return in May or June

Bengaluru, January 24: The Ultimate Fighter 5 winner Nate Diaz has some good news for the UFC fans with hints about his potential return date to the octagon.

Diaz posted on Instagram that he was 'tired of waiting' for the 'f*****s' in his division to step up the game and also said he would be back in a short time either in May or June this year to fix up.

With the absence of the current champion Conor McGregor, the UFC could certainly use the popular personality like Diaz, whose rivalry with the Irishman is arguably the most popular in MMA history.

But with the UFC 155-pound weight class not seeing any title action (except of course a interim belt fight) due to McGregor not being involved, Diaz called out other lightweight contenders for being subdued. Check it out:

The people he's referring to in the post are the top-ranked competitors in the lightweight division, a supremely skilled class currently stagnated due to the uncertainty of McGregor's motivation to defend his title.

However, recently UFC President Dana White confirmed that Interim champion Tony Ferguson will fight Khabib Nurmagomedov in UFC 223 on April 7, but nobody knows if it will be for the interim or the real undisputed championship.

The word is that McGregor will now defend his title against the winner of Ferguson vs. Khabib, but nothing is clear. And now with Diaz' message there is a possibility of the much anticipated triology with McGregor, whom he defeated in UFC 196 in March 2016 but lost in UFC 202 later that year in August.
