National Inter-school Meet starts on December 24

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 22 (UNI) More than 1,500 athletes from various states will vie for honours in the second National Inter-school Championship (Group-II), which will be held here from December 24 to 27.

Competitions will be conducted for both boys and girls U-16 for football, wrestling, volleyball, table tennis and weightlifting.

More than 500 officials would officiate the meet.

Kerala Sports Minister M Vijayakumar will inaugurate the meet and Education Minister M A Baby would distribute prizes to the winners, according to a release here.
