National Open Athletics Championships 2024 Day 1 Schedule

The 63rd National Open Athletics Championships kicked off today -- August 30 -- at Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru. The four-day event will continue till September 2.

As the final track and field domestic event of the season, it features a host of exciting competitions with some of the nation's top athletes vying for glory. The day began early with the 20km Race Walk for both men and women, setting the pace for what promises to be a thrilling day of athletics.

The men's 5000m final followed, showcasing endurance and speed as athletes competed for the podium. Concurrently, the field events saw the start of the men's Discus Throw qualification rounds and the High Jump.
