National Open Athletics Championships 2024 Live Updates, Day 2: The 63rd National Open Athletics Championships 2024 resume for the second day after Gulveer Singh stole the limelight with a meet record in the men's 10000m.
On Day -- August 31 -- all eyes are on 110m hurdles national record holder Tejas Shirse and former national record holder Siddharth Thingalaya competing in the heats in the morning session with plenty of medal action coming in the evening.

Aishwarya Mishra: "This win meant a lot to me, in fact, meant more than the Olympics because of the struggles I went through and losing out on my first Olympics spot. After the Asian Championship success last year (two medals) I thought my time has come to shine but things didn't go the way I wanted this year. I am not going to give up and work harder and better!"

Delhi's Tushar Manna, a national camper, posts his first sub-46 second timing to clinch his first national 400m title. Training at SAI Patiala, Tushar's timing of 45.97 seconds will surely attract the interest of the AFI coaches as a probable for the relay team.

With many of the Paris Olympics athletes opting out, the spotlight is on the next generation of Indian track and field stars.
