The National Poker Series India 2024 has made an impressive start, recording over 44,000 entries in just its first week. This marks a significant increase in participation, showcasing the event's growing popularity among the Indian poker community.
The series, which started on March 3, 2024, is set to run until March 24, 2024, and has already seen 171 medals awarded to players across various states.

Maharashtra leads the medal chart with 35 medals, followed by Delhi with 18 and Uttar Pradesh with 17. Rajasthan and Karnataka are not far behind, securing 14 and 15 medals, respectively.
This year's series has also highlighted the emergence of new talent, with several first-time participants making it to the final tables of multiple tournaments.
Navkiran Singh, the Founder and CEO of Baazi Games, expressed his excitement over the successful start of the National Poker Series India 2024. He noted the significant participation from beyond the metros, emphasising the widespread appeal of poker across the country. Singh also shared his anticipation for the performances that would unfold in the remaining days of the series.

The series also shone a spotlight on two NPS Camp participants, Divya Raushan and Varun Vohra, who managed to secure a gold and silver medal, respectively. The NPS Camp, known for its comprehensive training approach, includes activities aimed at enhancing holistic well-being, crucial for poker players.
The National Poker Series India is the nation's premier poker championship, attracting over 300,000 entries and awarding more than 770 medals through 250 tournaments over the past three years.
Launched in 2021, the series has played a pivotal role in promoting poker as a sport throughout India, celebrating the country's poker talents and fostering a sense of unity within the community. The top three performers in the 2024 series will be rewarded with an all-inclusive trip to Las Vegas, further motivating participants to showcase their skills.
