Sports: Table Tennis Championship from Sept 5

Kochi, July 7 : Around 600 players will vie for honours in the 48th National Ranking Table Tennis Championship to be held here from September 5.

Championship Organising Secretary S A S Navaz told reporters that about 600 players from different states would compete in eight categories in the four-day tournament.

Leading stars including Sharath Kamal, Subojith Saha, Anirban Nandi and Patik Mehta in the men's section and Poulami Ghatak, Mouma Das, K Shamini, Mantu Ghosh and Mousami Paul in the women's section were expected to partcipate in the tournament, which has a total prize money of Rs 4,00,000.
