National Taekwondo meet in Goa from December 7

Panaji, Dec 1 (UNI) Goa will host the three-day 27th boys and girls Junior National Taekwondo championship from December 7 to 9 at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Multipurose Hall, Fatorda, in South Goa.

Taekwondo Association of Goa (TAG) president R D Mangeshkar, speaking to media persons today, said about 750 participants from 33 states, including defending champions Manipur in the boys section and Uttar Pradesh in girls events, will vie for top honours in different weight categories.

Goa boys and girls hope to win five to six gold medals, Mr Mangeshkar added.

The Taekwondo Federation of India has appointed 40 national referees and technical officials to condunct the event.
