National Throwball Tournament from Jan 9

Vijayawada, Oct 19 (UNI) The three-day 31st Senior National Throw Ball Championship for men and women will be held at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium (IGMC) here from January 9 next year.

Addressing a press conference here today, Organising Committee president K P Rao said nearly 40 teams from 20 states comprising about 700 players would take part in the championship.

The matches would be played under league-cum-knockout basis. Some of matches would be held during day while the some at night under flood lights.

The committee would spend Rs 20 lakh for conducting the championship, he added.
