California, February 9: Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has been fined $50,000 "for directing inappropriate and offensive language toward a game official."
The NBA announced the fine on Thursday (February 8) following an incident during Golden State's 125-105 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday (February 6).
After Green and Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook collided late in the second quarter, the All-Star pleaded for a foul call from official Lauren Holtkamp, who whistled him for a technical.
Green and Holtkamp also had a run-in earlier in the game on another play in which the former and Thunder forward Jerami Grant collided.
The 27-year-old was eventually ejected in the fourth quarter after picking up another technical for throwing the ball out of bounds near another official.
