In a thrilling NBA matchup, Anthony Edwards scored a career-high 53 points, yet the Minnesota Timberwolves lost to the Detroit Pistons 119-105. Cade Cunningham led the Pistons with a season-high of 40 points, showcasing a strong performance.

Cade Cunningham delivered a standout performance with 40 points, leading the Detroit Pistons to a 119-105 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Anthony Edwards achieved a career-high 53 points for Minnesota, but it wasn't enough to secure a win. Cunningham also contributed nine assists, surpassing his previous season-high of 35 points set against Milwaukee on November 13.

Despite Edwards' impressive scoring, he was unable to add to his tally after hitting a three-pointer with 9:25 left in the game. Malik Beasley supported the Pistons' efforts with 23 points, helping them achieve their third consecutive win and sixth in seven games. Tobias Harris added 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while Ausar Thompson recorded 10 points, 10 rebounds, and six steals.

Nikola Jokic had an outstanding game for the Denver Nuggets, scoring 46 points and securing 10 rebounds as they defeated the San Antonio Spurs 122-111 in overtime. Victor Wembanyama celebrated his 21st birthday with a strong performance of 20 points and 23 rebounds but couldn't score or rebound during overtime. The teams split their home-and-home series over two nights.

In their previous encounter, San Antonio edged out Denver with a narrow 113-110 victory thanks to Wembanyama's crucial steal from Jokic and Devin Vassell's fastbreak layup. However, Jokic ensured no repeat of such heroics by scoring nine points in overtime during their rematch. Michael Porter Jr. contributed significantly with 28 points and 10 rebounds for Denver.

Kawhi Leonard made his season debut as the Los Angeles Clippers triumphed over the Atlanta Hawks with a score of 131-105. Leonard played for the first time this season after recovering from a right knee injury that kept him out of action for the first 34 games. He scored 12 points in his limited time on the court.

Norman Powell led the Clippers with 20 points while Ivica Zubac added an impressive double-double of 18 points and 18 rebounds. Trae Young was Atlanta's top scorer with 20 points and provided 14 assists. Despite DeAndre Hunter's contribution of 18 points, Atlanta suffered its third consecutive loss following four straight wins.

The Pistons established control early against Minnesota by extending their lead to five after one quarter before launching into a decisive second-quarter run. Cunningham's six-point contribution along with Thompson's defensive prowess helped Detroit maintain their advantage throughout the game.

Meanwhile, Harrison Barnes scored well for San Antonio alongside Devin Vassell who managed to tie regulation at 108 apiece before missing an opportunity that allowed Denver to take control during overtime play.

The Clippers broke open their contest against Atlanta during an explosive second-quarter stretch where Amir Coffey scored nine of his total fifteen points contributing significantly towards breaking away from what had been just one-point lead earlier on.
