Bengaluru, July 3: Indian athletics is set to witness a defining moment as the country hosts its first-ever international javelin competition - the Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025.
The event, scheduled for Saturday (July 5), at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, is named after and co-organised by India's golden boy of track and field, Neeraj Chopra, along with JSW Sports.

Sanctioned by the Athletics Federation of India and awarded World Athletics Gold-level status, the tournament will bring some of the world's finest javelin throwers to Indian soil - a landmark step in putting India on the global athletics map.
