Neeraj Chopra 'Can't Sign' - Indian athlete refuses to sign autograph on Indian flag
Neeraj Chopra won the Gold medal in the World Athletics Championship on Sunday (August 27). The Indian athlete won the championship in the Javelin Throw, thus becoming the second Indian athlete to win a medal in both the Olympics and the World Championship.
And after his monumental win, the Indian athlete politely refused to sign his autograph to a fan.

Neeraj met a Hungarian fan after his event and she asked the Indian athlete to sign an autograph. But when Neeraj realized the woman wanted him to sign on the Indian flag, he refused.
"Waha nahi sign kar sakta (I can't sign there)", Neeraj said to the woman. He instead signed his autograph on the woman's shirt sleeve, leaving the fan delighted.
Neeraj Chopra, a soft-spoken Champion, works as a Subedar in the Indian Army and he was enrolled in 4 Rajputana Rifles as a direct entry Naib Subedar on May 15, 2016.
The incident came to light after a journalist shared a picture of Neeraj signing autograph on the woman's shirt sleeve.
"A very sweet Hungarian lady (who spoke excellent Hindi btw) wanted a Neeraj Chopra autograph. Neeraj said sure but then realised she meant on the 🇮🇳 flag. 'Waha nahi sign kar sakta' Neeraj tells her. Eventually, he signed her shirt sleeve. She was pretty happy all the same," journalist Jonathan Selvaraj wrote on his social media.
