On the occasion of National Sports Day and the birth anniversary of the legendary hockey player, Major Dhyan Chand, a unique initiative to ignite interest in sports among the youth was taken in Moradabad as series of backlit panels were installed on the Loco Shed Bridge, depicting historical and glorious moments from international sports, as achieved by Indian athletes.
The decision was taken by the Moradabad Municipal Corporation and the panels feature portraits of Olympic medallists such as Major Dhyan Chand, Mary Kom, Saina Nehwal, P.V. Sindhu, Abhinav Bindra, Neeraj Chopra, Milkha Singh, Manu Bhaker, among others.

Additionally, the achievements of the Indian cricket team over the past 75 years have been captured through images, from the 1983 World Cup victory to the iconic moments of this year's T20 World Cup.
These displays include the magic catch by Suryakumar Yadav, Sachin Tendulkar's legendary shot against Shane Warne, the 1971 series win in the West Indies, and more. Portraits of Indian women athletes are also prominently featured.
