In the video, Kohli - who is currently spending time with his family in London - said, "We are known for cricket and Bollywood, for start-up unicorns and as the fastest-growing economy in the world. So, what is the next big thing for this great nation? Well, that will be more gold, more silver, and more bronze."

Neeraj Chopra's response to Virat Kohli

Tokyo 2020 gold medallist in javelin throw Neeraj Chopra, one of India's top medal contenders, was visibly moved by Kohli's video message. He took to social media to express his gratitude, saying, "Thank you for your support, @imVkohli bhai."

Kohli's message is a call to action for every Indian to unite and inspire our athletes to make their mark on the world stage. He highlighted the progress the country has made, saying, "There was a time when the world could only think of India as a land of snake charmers and elephants. Over time, that has changed. Today we are known to the world as the largest democracy, a global tech hub." Now, it's time for India to make its mark in the world of sports.

The Indian cricket team's recent T20 World Cup triumph is still fresh in the minds of fans, and Kohli is now turning his attention to the Olympic Games in Pars starting July 26. He expressed his excitement and nervousness for the athletes, saying, "Our brothers and sisters are headed to Paris, hungry for medals. A billion of us will be watching them nervous and excited as our athletes set foot in the tracks and fields and courts and rings."

Every Indian can play a role in supporting our athletes, from cheering them on to sharing their stories and inspiring others to take up sports. Kohli's message is not just about winning medals; it's about unity and pride.

He urged fans to join him in supporting the 118-strong group of athletes, saying, "Every neighbourhood, every corner of India will hear a chorus of voices chanting 'India, India, India.' Join me in remembering their faces as they inch closer to the podium with the dogged determination to wave the Tiranga with pride. Jai Hind and good luck, India."

Sport has the power to unite and inspire a nation, and Kohli's message is a reminder that every Indian can be a part of this journey. Let's come together to support our athletes and make our mark on the world stage.

Every Indian can play a role in this journey, from cheering on our athletes to inspiring others to take up sports. Let's make our mark and show the world what we're capable of!
