Two-time Olympic medalist Neeraj Chopra has secured a spot in the Diamond League final by finishing in the top six. The prestigious two-day event will take place in Brussels on September 13 and 14.
The six javelin throwers who earned automatic qualification include Paris Games bronze medalist Anderson Peters, Julian Webber, Jakub Vadlejch, Neeraj Chopra, Andrian Mardare, and Roderick Genki Dean.

Neeraj Chopra, with seven points and a second-place finish at the Lausanne leg, now shares third place with Weber in the Diamond League standings, both sitting at 15 points.
Peters has climbed to the top with 21 points, while Jakub Vadlejch of the Czech Republic, who finished seventh with a throw of 82.03m, holds second place with 16 points.
Neeraj recorded a throw of 89.49m in his final attempt at Lausanne, narrowly surpassing his Paris Olympics best of 89.45m. His effort placed him second behind Grenada's Anderson Peters, who led with a 90.61m throw.
After the Paris Olympics, Neeraj Chopra hinted at finally undergoing surgery to address a persistent adductor muscle problem. Although he didn't return to India after the Paris Games, heading straight to Switzerland, Chopra was questioned about how much longer he would compete this season.
"May be two or one competition and then finish the season. I am not sure, may be Brussels (Diamond League finale)," the world champion said. He mentioned that his top priority for the upcoming year is regaining full fitness.
"First goal, go to the doctor and make my groin 100 per cent fit and also I will be technically better and try to throw far again," he added.
In this season Neeraj participated in Doha Diamond League, Federation Cup (in India), Paavo Nurmi Games, Paris Olympics and Lausanne Diamond League.
