Neo Sports launches 'Video on Demand' service

Bangalore, Sep 27 (UNI) The Neo Sports Broadcast Private Ltd, which has the exclusive rights to broadcast all the cricket matches played in India, launched its 'Video on Demand' service for the first time in the country, focussing the office-going audience here today.

Speaking after launching the service, Neo Sports CEO Shashi Kalathil informed newspersons that the new service which would be made available on website, would provide the consumers with access live streaming service.

A research revealed that on match days a typical office scenario would involve employees trying to watch the action on tv, while bunking the job, Kalathil said, adding ''it is a no-win situation where either work suffers or employee morale.'' He said the consumers could avail of the new service by subscribing to it. It was available in various packages. The website would also offer an interactive scoreboard and various graphical analysis tools like wagon wheels, player and match statistics and much more.

Elaborating the service, Kalathil informed that the core target for this product was the office-going audience who usually miss all the high profile cricket action while they are in office. The live streaming service would also allow the consumer to view cricket in 'controlled doses' while going about his office work and that too in a superior form in contrast to the one dimensional text commentary, which was the only option available currently.

He said already CEO's and HR heads of various corporates had welcomed the move, which would also boost the productivity while offering entertainment for their employees on job.

He said Neo Sports had spent crores of rupees in bringing the service which was ably supported by California based software company Willow.
