Nepal sets up title clash with Army XI

Gangtok, Oct 23 (UNI) Three Star Club, Nepal defeated Tata Football Academy (TFA) in extra time 2-1 today to enter the finals of the 30th All India Governor's Gold Cup played here at Paljor Stadium.

After the game ended in 1-1 draw in normal 90 minutes, Santosh Shaukhalah scored the deciding goal in the 2nd minute of the extra-time. He was given a free shot after TFA defender Hardeep Singh kicked over a clearance.

Earlier, Shaukhalah had given the Nepal side the lead in the 42nd minute during the game with a fine header.

The TFA side came back strongly in the second half and restored parity thanks to a glancing header by its striker Jagtar Singh.

With this victory, the Nepal club has set up a title clash with Army XI on Saturday.
