New sports policy in J

Srinagar, Jun 1 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government today said a new sports policy would soon be framed to unearth the hidden talent and make the sports institutions financially sound.

Addressing an award presentation ceremony here last evening, Finance and Planning Minister Tariq Hamid Karra said the youth of the state have ample talent to outshine others in sports.

The Minister presented the award to a local football hero, Mehraj-ud-Din Wadoo, who achieved laurels for the state both at the national and international levels.
