New Zealand starts coach selection process
MELBOURNE, June 22 (Reuters) A five-man committee has been appointed to select New Zealand's cricket coach later this year, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) said today.
NZC Chief Executive Justin Vaughan said the committee would assess the team's management structure as well as starting the process of appointing a new candidate or extending coach John Bracewell's current deal, which ends in July.
The committee is comprised of Vaughan, NZC Board member Stephen Boock, team general manager Lindsay Crocker, NZC high performance manager Ric Charlesworth and New Zealand Cricket Players Association representative Heath Mills.
The committee staged its first meeting on Tuesday and no date has been set for the announcement of the next appointment, NZC said.
