Mary Kom has been making her mark in the world of boxing for many years now.
And the 35-year-old added another record to her name to make the year a memorable one. Mary Kom clinched her fifth Asian Boxing Championship title in Hanoi.
The Indian defeated Korea's Kim Hyang 5-0 in the 48kg category to claim her fifth title. It was a breakthrough performance for the boxer as her last title had come back in the 2014 Asian Games.
What made the win even more special, is that Mary Kom went down in the pages of history to become the first boxer to claim five gold medals at the continental event.
