Nikola Jokic Extends Triple-Double Milestone With 182nd Regular-Season Haul

Nikola Jokic moved closer to NBA history with another dominant triple-double, drawing strong praise from Denver Nuggets head coach David Adelman. Jokic climbed to second on the all-time triple-doubles list, reinforcing a record pace that now leaves only one player ahead.

The Denver Nuggets snapped a three-game losing streak with a 136-120 victory over the struggling Chicago Bulls, driven by Jokic’s all-round display. The center posted 22 points, 17 assists and 14 rebounds, controlling the game at both ends of the floor.

Adelman highlighted how rare Jokic’s playmaking numbers are for a center and underlined the scale of the achievement. "When your center gets 17 assists in a gamethat just doesn't happen, Adelman said. Unless it's him. It's absolutely unbelievable what he's done."

This performance gave Jokic his 182nd regular-season triple-double, moving past Oscar Robertson for second place all-time. It was also Jokic’s 19th triple-double of the current campaign, and the second straight game in which Jokic completed the statistical feat.

On the career leaderboard, Jokic now trails only Russell Westbrook, who has recorded 207 triple-doubles. Jokic also belongs to a small group of three players who have averaged a triple-double over an entire season, a benchmark he has managed on two separate occasions.

Jokic reserved special respect for Oscar Robertson, who became the first player to average a triple-double across a full season in 1961-62. "He is a legendary player," Jokic said of Robertson. "Any player who steps into this league knows he's a global legend."
