The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to it's base to mark the Mexican Independence Day with Noche UFC 2023: Grasso vs. Shevchenko 2 (also known as UFC on ESPN+ 85 or UFC Fight Night 227), which will be headlined by a flyweight title clash.
It has become a great tradition in combat sports to hold big fights on September 16th, and this year UFC brings an action-packed card to T-Mobile Arena on Mexican Independence Day for the first time ever with the inaugural Noche UFC.

In the high stakes main event, UFC women's flyweight champion Alexa Grasso, the first Mexican woman to win a UFC championship, will defend her title in a rematch against No. 1 ranked contender Valentina Shevchenko.
In the co-main event on Noche UFC 2023, No. 13 ranked Kevin Holland sets out to end the 15-fight winning streak of No. 14 ranked James Della Maddalena and insert his name into the top 10 welterweight rankings.
Also on the main card, Dana White's Contender Series (DWCS) signee Raul Rosas Jr. clashes with Terrence Mitchell at bantamweight after another DWCS contract winner Daniel Zellhuber and Christos Giagos square off in the lightweight division.
In the main card opener, Fernando Padilla goes toe-to-toe with Kyle Nelson in a thrilling featherweight contest after Loopy Godinez battles Elise Reed in a women's strawweight bout that is expected to close the preliminary card.
The prelims will also see middleweight prospect Roman Kopylov takes on Josh Fremd after Edgar Chairez squares off with Daniel Lacerda at flyweight. Plus, Tracy Cortez faces Jasmine Jasudavicius in an exciting flyweight matchup.
Also, electric lightweights meet as Alex Reyes and UFC newcomer Charlie Campbell collide after Josefine Knutsson looks to keep her perfect record intact when she faces Marnic Mann in a women's strawweight bout that will open the Noche UFC 2023 event.
