Lando Norris is eager to move past his recent collision with McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri. The incident occurred late during the Canadian Grand Prix, where Norris collided with Piastri, the current Formula One championship leader. While Piastri managed to finish fourth in Montreal, Norris crashed into the barriers and did not complete the race.
Norris promptly apologised to his team following the mishap. In a conversation with Sky Sports, he expressed regret over the incident and acknowledged the need to accept it as part of racing. "I regretted it at the time and apologised for it," said Norris. "Sadly, it's also racing. I take it on the chin and I've got a move on."

Reflecting on his performance, Norris emphasised the importance of learning from mistakes and focusing on future races. He stated, "I've got to look at the next race and see how I can do a better job and not make those silly mistakes at times." Despite this setback, he remains optimistic about building on positive aspects and finding his rhythm again.
This marked Norris' first failure to finish in nearly a year, placing him 22 points behind Piastri in the driver standings. As Formula One prepares for its next event in Austria at June's end, Norris is determined to improve his performance and regain momentum.
The Canadian Grand Prix incident serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of racing. However, Norris' focus remains on refining his skills and achieving better results in upcoming competitions.
