Lando Norris narrowly missed out on securing pole position at the Spanish Grand Prix, attributing his second-place finish to minor errors. After winning in Monaco, he was poised to lead the grid again. Norris initially outpaced his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri by 0.017 seconds during the first qualifying runs. However, Piastri's impressive final lap secured him pole by 0.209 seconds, marking his fourth of the season.

Despite missing pole, Norris expressed satisfaction with McLaren's performance, highlighting their one-two finish.
