Nuggets Coach Michael Malone Urges Team To Overcome Four-Game Losing Streak

Denver Nuggets coach Michael Malone emphasises the urgency of overcoming a four-game losing streak. With playoffs approaching, players like Nikola Jokic and Christian Braun stress the importance of regaining momentum.

Denver Nuggets coach Michael Malone emphasised the need to overcome their recent struggles after a 125-120 loss to the Indiana Pacers. This defeat marked their fourth consecutive loss, following setbacks against the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, and Minnesota Timberwolves. The Nuggets now hold a 47-32 record, placing them fourth in the Western Conference.

Despite maintaining their position, the Nuggets are precariously close to dropping to eighth place due to the competitive nature of the conference. Malone expressed uncertainty about whether the team is experiencing a hangover from previous games. "We were up tonight. We got up by 13. We weren't able to hold on," he stated.

Nuggets Coach Urges Team to End Losing Streak

Nikola Jokic, a key player for the Nuggets, believes that securing just one victory could significantly boost team morale. "We've lost four in a row, in a bad moment," he remarked. He feels that a win could alleviate some of the negativity surrounding the team and improve their spirits.

Christian Braun delivered an impressive performance against the Pacers, scoring a career-high 30 points. However, he was involved in a crucial turnover with Jokic during the final seconds when they were trailing by two points. Despite this setback, Braun remains optimistic about their playoff prospects.

Braun believes that once they reach the playoffs, they can compete with any team. "We've got to go in there with momentum," he said. He stressed the importance of playing correctly and regaining their identity in these last three games to build momentum.

The Nuggets' recent losses have highlighted areas needing improvement before playoffs begin. With only three games left in the regular season, finding solutions quickly is crucial for maintaining their standing and entering playoffs with confidence.
