Odisha to Host Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2 Extravaganza Starting December 24th

Ultimate Kho Kho (UKK) Season 2 is set to captivate audiences as it returns with grandeur, scheduled to commence on December 24, 2023, and conclude on January 13, 2024, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Cuttack, Odisha.

The success of its inaugural season, reaching 164 million households, has fueled the anticipation for this edition. The event is aligned with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's vision of promoting sports for youth, emphasizing its role in shaping the future.

Odisha has emerged as a hub for major global sports events, showcasing a commitment to sports development. The state boasts world-class multi-sport infrastructure and experiences, aligning with its dedication to fostering sports enthusiasm among its people.

Tusharkanti Behera, the Minister of State for Electronics & IT, Sports & Youth Services, expressed excitement about hosting the second edition, highlighting Kho-Kho's popularity in Odisha and the potential for the state's residents to be inspired and engage with the sport.

Acknowledging the support from the Odisha Government and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Tenzing Niyogi, CEO and League Commissioner of Ultimate Kho Kho, expressed gratitude. The inaugural season's success attracted significant interest from brands, enabling the league to secure new partners. The focus remains on selecting partners who share a long-term vision for the league.

Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2 will showcase India's top 145 players, with 33 talented individuals aged between 16 to 18 adding youthful vigor. The competition will feature six franchises: Odisha Juggernauts, Chennai Quick Guns, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Khiladis, Rajasthan Warriors, and Telugu Yoddhas.

These franchises, each with distinct ownership, will vie for the coveted championship in what promises to be an intense competition.

The league promises an immersive viewing experience with live broadcasts of the exciting action. Anticipated highlights include intensified rivalries, thrilling gameplay, increased speed, and innovations that aim to redefine the overall sports viewing experience.
