Shai Gilgeous-Alexander expressed his joy following the Oklahoma City Thunder's 121-105 triumph over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday. This win marked OKC's 60th victory this NBA season, making them the first team to reach this milestone. It is also the highest number of wins for the Thunder since relocating from Seattle to Oklahoma after the 2007-08 season. The franchise's record for wins stands at 64.
The Thunder's victory solidified their leading position in the Western Conference with a 60-12 record this season. Gilgeous-Alexander achieved his 45th game scoring 30 points or more, which is a league-high, during this match. This win also marked Oklahoma's record-tying 11th consecutive road victory, matching the Cleveland Cavaliers' streak.

Keegan Murray contributed significantly by scoring 28 points, while Zach LaVine led the Kings with 19 points. Despite their efforts, the Kings have now suffered four consecutive losses. The Thunder established a commanding 24-point lead in the first half. Although the Kings managed a 16-point run early in the third quarter, they couldn't close the gap.
A strong fourth quarter ensured another double-digit win for Oklahoma City, marking their 46th such victory this season. "We play every night to get better," said Gilgeous-Alexander. "That's why we've clinched early and reached 60 wins faster than ever in franchise history."
Gilgeous-Alexander emphasised focusing on improvement regardless of past achievements. "No matter what we've done in the past, if we focus on using opportunities to get better, we have to look up at season's end and be better," he stated.
The Thunder's performance against Sacramento highlighted their dominance this season. Their ability to maintain leads and secure victories has been crucial in their successful campaign so far.
