Olympic run taken out in temple town

Tirupati, Jun 21 (UNI) The Chittoor District Olympic Association (DOA) organised the Olympic Run today on the directions of the AP Olympic Association and the Indian Olympic Association on the eve of Beijing Olympics.

The Olympic run -- which is held on June 21, the World Olympic day, every year-- was taken out from Indira Maidan in the temple town and flagged off by the TUDA Chairman Chevireddy Bhaskara Reddy. It will reach Hyderabad after passing through all districts.

As many as 2000 people, including students, teachers, district officials and public representatives participated in the run.
