India bagged the 2nd medal in the Olympics 2024 on Tuesday (July 30). Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh's mixed team of India bagged a Bronze medal in 10m Air Pistol beating South Korea.

Manu Bhaker, who had already won a bronze in individual event, created history by becoming the first Indian with more than one medal in a single Olympics edition.

Bhaker was excellent in the Bronze medal match. She was outstanding along with Sarabjot as the duo defied the odds to topple their opponents in the pressured encounter.

The talented woman from Haryana was ecstatic after winning the match. Bhaker, after creating history, said she only focused on executing her plans without thinking too much about the result. She also thanked the entire country for the unwavering support in the games. Sarabjot was equally delighted after getting his first Olympics medal.

Since their victory, the nation has dipped in joy. This is the 2nd medal for India in the Paris Olympics and both have come from shooting, which is a massive result in the event.

The fans and some eminent personalities have already showered their wishes for the duo, especially for Manu Bhaker after her amazing achievement. PM Narendra Modi shared a statement on X congratulating the team.

"Our shooters continue to make us proud! Congratulations to @realmanubhaker and Sarabjot Singh for winning the Bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event at the #Olympics. Both of them have shown great skills and teamwork. India is incredibly delighted. For Manu, this is her second consecutive Olympic medal, showcasing her consistent excellence and dedication," Modi wrote on X.

Another elite politician, N Chandrababu Naidu also congratulated the Indian shooters after their fantastic achievement.
