By MyKhel Staff

The Chairman and Managing Director of JSW Group, Mr Sajjan Jindal has promised to gift a MG Windsor car to each and every Indian medalist at the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024 for their "dedication and success".

The 64-year-old billionaire industrialist, who already supports many sports personalities under the company's JSW Sports, made this announcement on his X account, saying the "best deserve the best".

"Delighted to announce that every Olympic medalist from Team India will be gifted an MG Windsor, a remarkable car from JSW MG India! Because our best deserve the best, for their dedication and success," Sajjan Jindal posted on X.

India has so far secured three medals at the Paris Olympic Games 2024 with all three coming in shooting. Manu Bhaker opened India's account with a bronze in women's 10m air pistol event before adding a second a few days later.

Bhaker followed her individual medal with her second bronze, teaming up with Sarabjot Singh in 10m air pistol mixed team event. This medal made the 22-year-old, the first Indian to win two medals in the same Olympic event. She will aim for her third in the 25m pistol event.

The third medal came on Thursday (August 1) when rifle shooter Swapnil Kusale secured a bronze in the men's 50m Rifle 3 positions event. This was India's first Olympic medal in the 50m Rifle 3P event.

On Thursday (August 1), some of India's big medal hopes crashed out in the knockout stages as boxer Nikhat Zareen and men's doubles badminton pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty bowed out of their respective events in Paris.

India's best-ever haul was 7 medals achieved in Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The Indian contingent will be aiming to leave Paris 2024 with a double-digit tally with several other medal hopefuls yet to compete, including the Golden Boy Neeraj Chorpa.
