USA swelled their overall medal count at the Paris Olympics 2024 on day 15 of the competition - Saturday, August 10, but China head into the ultimate day of competition on top of the medal standings with a gold in the final event.

The 4x400m relay teams as well as the men's basketball and women's football teams had helped USA edge China to the top in the Paris Olympics medal table after golds in three events. However, women's 75kg boxer Li Qian's gold saw China finish the day on top with 39 golds.
