Olympics 2024 Schedule for August 7: On day twelve of the competition at Paris 2024, the focus will be on Tokyo 2020 silver medallist Mirabai Chanu and steeplechaser Avinash Sable.

Mirabai Chanu will compete in the medal round of women's 49kg category weightlifting final, while Sable will be in the men's 3000m steeplechase final. The duo will aim to add to India's Olympics 2024 Medal Tally when they compete in their respective events.

Race walkers Priyanka Goswami and Suraj Panwar will be in medal round when the pair compete in the marathon race walking mixed relay event as several other athletes will take inspiration from the country's Golden Boy Neeraj Chopra.

After Chopra qualified for the men's javelin throw final, the other track and field athletes also will be eager to enter final rounds of their respective events on Wednesday (August 7). Annu Rani will also look to qualify for the women's javelin throw final.

On the track, hurdler Jyothi Yarraji will compete in women's 100m hurdles heats, while high jumper Sarvesh Kushare as well as triple jumpers Abdulla Aboobacker and Praveen Chithravel will battle in qualification rounds in their respective events.

Also, another wrestler Antim Panghal, who took Phogat's spot in the weight category, also will open her 53kg category campaign with the elimination rounds on a packed day for the Indians in Paris.

The women's table tennis team as other athletes and wrestlers also will aim to qualify for medal rounds. The women's team led by ace paddler Manika Batra will look to carry on their historic run when they contest in the quarterfinal.
