Olympics 2024: Top Indian Athletes in Paris and their Achievements so far
India does have a strong representation in the Olympics 2024, which will kickstart in Paris on Friday (July 26).
The quadrennial tournament will run a fortnight-long and over 10,500 athletes across the globe will battle for the prestigious medals.

India secured 7 medals in the last edition in Tokyo and the aim from the contingent is to eclipse last edition's heroics, which is the best for India in the history of the games so far.
India does possess a strong number of brilliant athletes, who will represent the tricolour in various events. Golden boy Neeraj Chopra, who won the Gold in Tokyo, has huge expectations, while the other stars such as PV Sindhu, Mirababi Chanu and Lovlina Borgohain will be aiming to replicate their Tokyo heroics. The Indian men's Hockey Team clinched the Bronze medal last time and will have an eye to better that this time around.
The stars of the Indian contingent have had their share of successes across all competitions in the last few years. They have racked up medals not just in the Olympics, but in the continental events and their respective World Cups.

Indian Government Investments on Key Athletes
The Indian Sports Ministry has also invested heavily in the athletes over the last four years. Neeraj Chopra received an aid of ₹5.72 crore, while the Badminton duo Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty received ₹5.62 crore.
PV Sindhu was also helped with more than Rs 3 crore, while the Indian men's Hockey Team had a monetary support of ₹41.8 crore from the Indian government.
