ONE 172: Takeru vs. Rodtang had fans on the edge of their seats from start to finish inside Japan's Saitama Super Arena. There, a plethora of highlight-reel finishes went down on Sunday, March 23.
The historic flyweight kickboxing super-fight between former ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon and three-division K-1 Champion Takeru Segawa came and went before fans knew it as Rodtang dismantled his Japanese foe inside 90 seconds.

"The Iron Man" quickly settled into the bout, stalking Takeru as the Japanese standout responded with his signature low kicks. Before long, though, Rodtang rushed his man, wobbling him with a looping left hook.
He followed up with one more for good measure that sent Takeru tumbling to the mat. Takeru was unable to return to his feet to answer the referee's count at just 1:20 of round one - and Saitama Super Arena fell into silence as Rodtang cemented his striking legacy.
Elsewhere, Masaaki Noiri scored a third-round TKO over divisional Muay Thai kingpin Tawanchai to clinch the ONE Interim Featherweight Kickboxing World Title, earning a future shot at the weight bracket's kickboxing king Superbon.
Meanwhile, newly minted ONE Flyweight MMA World Champion Yuya Wakamatsu finally reached the promised land as he blitzed former longtime king Adriano Moraes inside one round to claim the vacant crown.
Jonathan Di Bella was also crowned the ONE Interim Strawweight Kickboxing World Champion after he outstruck former two-division ONE World Champion Sam-A Gaiyanghadao to earn the unanimous decision.
On top of that, ONE Women's Atomweight Kickboxing World Champion Phetjeeja of Thailand retained her gold after besting Japan's Kana Morimoto by unanimous decision in her greatest performance to date. Here is a look at the full results of ONE 172: Takeru vs. Rodtang:
