ONE Heavyweight World Champion Arjan Bhullar Embraced By Sports Teams During Indian Homecoming Tour

Indian-Canadian ONE Heavyweight World Champion Arjan Bhullar is currently connecting with his roots, and "Singh" has been welcomed with open arms by the India's top sports teams and media alike.

Bhullar's homecoming has seen him mingle with stars like Punjabi Kings captain and cricket great Shikhar Dhawan. The heavyweight king received a personalized Kings jersey before gifting Dhawan a photo opportunity with the coveted heavyweight crown.

Bhullar said on Instagram: "Honored to go inside the Lions Den and watch our #Shers prepare for the big match against Lucknow🙏🏾 Excited to see the captain @shikhardofficial on the pitch today and feel the energy in the stadium for the live game!"

Punjabi Kings currently sit two points off the top of the league with five games in hand, and Bhullar hoping his journey will help motivate the team to the top spot.

Bhullar's notable fame in India as a mixed martial artist is evident. His travels took him to Mohali, where he visited Minerva Punjab FC and received a raucous welcome from the team's stars and fans alike.

It was the Commonwealth Wrestling Gold Medal holder's first time visiting that area, and "Singh" posed for photos with supporters of the football team and his own in this momentous collaboration.

The Indian-Canadian also paid a trip to NBA India Weekly studios to discuss his combustible clash with ONE Interim Heavyweight World Champion Anatoly Malykhin, and as a big follower of the NBA's Toronto Raptors, Bhullar also gave his thoughts on the current state of his favorite team.

In an entertaining segment, Bhullar then named his top three Raptors stars: Vince Carter, Tracey McGrady, and Kahwi Leonard. He also named the athletes he thought would fare best in transitioning to the Circle.

Among those were Milwaukee Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo, basketball legend and LA Lakers superstar Lebron James, as well as San Antonio Spurs' Tim Duncan, who happens to be an avid practitioner of Muay Thai.

Bhullar's homecoming tour in India continues ahead of his ONE Championship return this July, where he takes on ONE Interim Heavyweight World Champion Anatoly Malykhin at ONE Fight Night 12.
