ONE Championship: 3 Fights To Look Forward To This September

The summer heat may be winding down, but ONE Championship's September looks to be hotter than ever with some of the promotion's biggest fights of the year taking place next month.

As well as the weekly ONE Friday Fights showcases taking place throughout the month, the world's largest martial arts organization will host ONE Fight Night 14 on Saturday, 30 September.

Some of the month's clashes will have major repercussions for their respective weight brackets. And with that, let's take a look at three fights to look forward to this September.

1. Rodtang Jitmuangnon Vs. Superlek Kiatmoo9 - ONE Friday Fights 34

After what has felt like an eternity, ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Superlek Kiatmoo9 will finally clash on Friday, 22 September, in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 34.

The Thai phenoms were scheduled to collide at ONE Fight Night 8 this past March before Rodtang was forced out due to injury. "The Iron Man" then returned at ONE Fight Night 10, defending his crown against Edgar Tabares in front of a U.S. crowd for the first time.

Superlek has also been on a scintillating run of form in 2023. The winning streak started last December and has seen him go on to claim the ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Championship.

"The Kicking Machine" dispatched Nabil Anane at ONE Friday Fights 22 in the first frame. Collectively, the pair now prepare for the biggest contest of their careers inside Bangkok, Thailand's famed Lumpinee Boxing Stadium. And it's a fight that cannot be missed.

2. Stamp Fairtex Vs. Ham Seo Hee - ONE Fight Night 14

Top-ranked Stamp Fairtex and second-ranked contender Ham Seo Hee are two of the most dominant atomweights in all of women's mixed martial arts. So it's only right that the pair square off for the ONE Interim Atomweight MMA World Title in the main event of ONE Fight Night 14.

Stamp's transition into MMA has been a profound success so far. And after back-to-back wins in the atomweight division, the former two-sport queen looks to become a triple-crown winner. But to do so, she'll have to overcome a veteran in glistening form.

Since arriving in ONE, Ham has been untouchable. The South Korean has put three wins together in the promotion, accumulating a nine-fight winning streak overall. And now, the 36-year-old finds herself just weeks away from claiming the most coveted prize of her career.

3. Xiong Jing Nan Vs. Nat "Wondergirl" Jaroonsak - ONE Fight Night 14

ONE Strawweight MMA World Champion Xiong Jing Nan and Nat "Wondergirl" Jaroonsak will throw down in an innovative bout. The outstanding punchers will tie up in a 'special rules' fight.

The bout will be an all-striking affair in 4-ounce gloves. Only hand strikes are permitted. Knees, elbows, and kicks are prohibited, and the fight will be contested over three rounds. Given the star-studded backgrounds of both women, this one-of-a-kind battle is not to be missed.
