ONE Championship Announces Prajanchai's Return For The Inner Circle 35

ONE Championship has revealed the highly anticipated return of reigning ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Prajanchai Pongsuphan PK to the kickboxing ring. The legendary Thai striker will face former title challenger Wang Junguang in a strawweight showdown at The Inner Circle 35.

The bout takes place Friday, October 16, from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, streaming exclusively on live.onefc.com. It marks a significant milestone in Prajanchai's ongoing pursuit of reclaiming two-sport glory.

Prajanchai, boasting an astonishing striking record of 344-53 and a ONE mark of 7-2, is regarded as one of the greatest pound-for-pound fighters in the sport. His ONE Championship journey began in 2021 when he defeated reigning champion Sam-A Gaiyanghadao to claim the strawweight Muay Thai belt.

That reign hit an early setback, as Prajanchai lost the belt in his first defense to Joseph Lasiri in 2022. He responded by earning a decision win to secure an interim title opportunity against Sam-A, this time finishing the Thai legend to claim interim gold.

A few months later, Prajanchai made a successful kickboxing debut before once again facing Lasiri, this time in a unification bout. He avenged his earlier loss in under 90 seconds to become the undisputed Muay Thai king. His two-sport journey reached new heights in 2024 when he defeated Jonathan Di Bella for the vacant ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title.

Prajanchai successfully defended his Muay Thai crown in 2025 against Ellis Badr Barboza via dominant TKO, before later facing Di Bella again in a unification bout to settle their rivalry. That contest ended in a unanimous decision loss, costing Prajanchai his kickboxing title.

Standing across from him will be the 31-year-old Wang. The former Enfusion Kickboxing Champion made a stunning ONE Championship debut in 2019, demolishing Federico Roma via first-round TKO.

That impressive showing earned Wang an opportunity at the inaugural ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title against Sam-A, though he came up short via unanimous decision after a grueling five-round battle. Now, he makes his comeback after a long time away from the promotion.
