ONE Championship Announces Two MMA Fights For ONE SAMURAI 5 In Tokyo
ONE Championship has revealed two exciting MMA showdowns for ONE SAMURAI 5, taking place on November 18, in Tokyo, Japan. Former strawweight king Jarred Brooks meets Japanese ace Tatsumitsu Wada, while knockout artists Ryugo Takeuchi and Brandon Hashimoto collide in heavyweight firefight.
Brooks, 33 years old, is an American fighter with a career MMA record of 21-6 and five ONE wins. The former two-time ONE Strawweight MMA World Champion is looking to rediscover the form that once carried him to the top of the division.

Brooks started his ONE career with three straight wins over top athletes, earning a title shot. In 2022, he beat reigning champion Joshua Pacio by unanimous decision to claim gold. Since then, the road has been very tough, and he now wants to return to form.
Standing across from him is the 37-year-old Wada, a Japanese veteran with a 26-13 MMA record and seven ONE wins. He enters the contest off a razor-close victory in April, and he fights in front of a home crowd.
In the heavyweight bout, Takeuchi, 23 years old, is a second-degree judo black belt and knockout artist with five career MMA wins. He has faced some of the best heavyweights on the planet, which makes him a dangerous test for any debutant.
His only ONE victory came in 2025, when he beat "Mighty Warrior" Kang Ji Won in 98 seconds. A tough stretch followed, and Takeuchi now wants to return to winning ways in front of his home fans in Tokyo.
Hashimoto makes his ONE debut with a pro MMA record of 8-2, most of his wins coming by knockout. The Japanese heavyweight steps in against a tough-as-nails opponent, setting up a battle between two knockout artists.
With a former ONE World Champion chasing a return to form and two heavy hitters ready to trade, ONE SAMURAI 5 offers plenty of fireworks for fight fans in Tokyo this November.
