ONE Championship will bring back its popular numbered format events, and it will do so in uncharted territory. It all starts when ONE 165 takes center stage later this year in Qatar.
ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong revealed the news over the weekend on Facebook. No date is set for the Middle Eastern adventure, but it's expected to take place in Qatar's capital of Doha.

Sityodtong previously mentioned his plans to conquer the Middle East with a big event in Q4. So while no date is set, ONE 165 is sure to go down in the immediate future.
When ONE does arrive in Qatar, the Singapore-based martial arts organization plans to hold the most coveted event in its history with five ONE World Title fights set to take place across four disciplines.
Although fight rumors have been circulating, ONE Championship has yet to confirm who will be competing on the card and which of its World Titles will be on the line. However, it seems the organization is planning something monumental to cap off a remarkable year.
Moreover, the card will mark ONE's first numbered event since ONE 164. Since then, it has hosted ONE Fight Night cards and weekly shows from Bangkok, Thailand's Lumpinee Boxing Stadium under the ONE Friday Fights banner.
ONE announced a deal to bring its events to Qatar this past June, having signed a memorandum of understanding with Media City Qatar. The world's largest martial arts organization also has a multi-year broadcast deal in place with beIN Sports ahead of the event.
