ONE Championship Sets Semifinal Lineup For Featherweight Kickboxing Tournament At ONE SAMURAI 4

The road to a World Title shot continues to take shape. ONE Championship has officially revealed the semifinal matchups for the ONE SAMURAI Featherweight Kickboxing Tournament, with both clashes set to take place at ONE SAMURAI 4 on Saturday, October 17, from Tokyo, Japan.

Kickboxing legend Marat Grigorian will face Chinese sensation Luo Chao in one semifinal, while former ONE Interim Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Masaaki Noiri collides with Iran's Mohammad Siasarani in the other. The eventual tournament winner will earn a World Title opportunity against reigning champion Superbon.

Grigorian punched his ticket to the semifinals with a unanimous decision victory over Russia's Mamuka Usubyan in the quarterfinals. The 35-year-old Armenian, a certified kickboxing legend, boasts a striking record of 71-14 with 41 finishes and holds a ONE mark of 8-3, currently riding a four-fight winning streak.

Standing across from him will be the 25-year-old Luo, who advanced by defeating Kosuke Takagi via unanimous decision in his own quarterfinal bout. The Chinese striker carries a professional record of 44-11 with 18 knockouts and has reeled off six consecutive victories under the ONE Championship banner.

In the tournament's other semifinal, Noiri delivered one of the most emphatic performances of the quarterfinal round, avenging a previous defeat to Liu Mengyang by knocking him out cold in under three minutes.

The 33-year-old Japanese veteran, boasting a striking record of 52-14 with 28 knockouts, memorably claimed interim gold by finishing Tawanchai, though he later fell short in his unification bout against Superbon.

Awaiting Noiri in the semifinals is Siasarani, who continued his impressive run by claiming a second victory over Kaito, this time finishing his opponent in less than two minutes. The 24-year-old Iranian holds a striking record of 29-13 with 12 finishes and a ONE mark of 10-2, extending his winning streak to six straight victories.

All four quarterfinal bouts took place earlier this month, setting the stage for what promises to be an explosive semifinal round in Tokyo. With a World Title shot against Superbon on the line, both matchups carry enormous stakes for the competing strikers.
