This week, ONE Championship suspended two of its top Muay Thai fighters, Kiamran Nabati and Ferrari Fairtex, as first reported by the Bangkok Post. Both strikers tested positive for banned substances.
The Russian star faced Ferrari at ONE Friday Fights 95 in January. There, he knocked out his Thai rival with a devastating left hook to secure his fifth straight victory in ONE Friday Fights.

Before their fight, samples were collected from them and sent for testing under World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) guidelines. The results later revealed that Nabati's test confirmed the presence of drostanolone, modafinil, and meldonium.
Meanwhile, two prohibited substances, heptaminol and octodrine, were found in Ferrari's system. As a result of these revelations, their previous fight has been declared a no contest.
The 27-year-old Ferrari has been suspended for three months, while Nabati faces a suspension of one year and won't return to action until 2026. The Archangel Michel representative made a name for himself by winning three consecutive fights and claiming a six-figure contract with ONE.
In his fourth fight, the 30-year-old challenged the legendary Nong-O Hama at ONE Friday Fights 81. He stood his ground, showcased fierce striking, and shocked the world by defeating Nong-O.
Ferrari arrived at ONE Championship with high expectations but got off to a rough start, losing two of his first three fights. However, the Fairtex star rebounded with four straight victories. Later, he lost his last two bouts. Now he will have to wait before making his comeback.
Previously, ONE suspended Petchtanong Petchfergus, Jasur Mirzamukhamedov, Martin Batur, Ben Tynan, and Elias Mahmoudi. Petchtanong was stripped of his ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Title after failing a doping test.
