ONE Championship: What’s Next For Superbon After ONE Fight Night 11

Superbon Singha Mawynn triumphantly returned to action last Saturday, 10 June, at ONE Fight Night 11: Eersel vs. Menshikov, stealing the show with a highlight-reel knockout that will remain on the minds of fans for some time.

The Thai legend stepped back into the ring against Tayfun Ozcan for the first time since losing his ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Title to Chingiz Allazov last January, and the performance that followed was one of the most glistening moments of his career.

Superbon's adversary in Ozcan was also in need of a win, but the Thai's prowess proved to be too much for the Turkish "Turbine" to handle as the Singha Mawynn product landed a picture-perfect high kick at 1:46 of round two to bring an end to proceedings.

The weight bracket's former king showed no signs of slowing down and controlled the contest for as long as it lasted, and ending the matchup in devastating fashion only drove the point further home that Superbon is here to stay, and he's going nowhere any time soon.

But after returning to winning ways last Saturday, it's clear that Superbon's only focus is reclaiming what was once his and avenging his only loss in five years against Allazov.

And after not only winning but destroying Ozcan in a similar fashion to Giorgio Petrosyan at ONE: FIRST STRIKE in October 2021, it seems that the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Championship should rightfully be next for him.

But if that's what Superbon has planned, he will have to remain patient a little bit longer, as the newly crowned champion in Allazov has his first World Title defence set for ONE Fight Night 13 in August against Marat Grigorian.

"Chinga's" momentum and firepower have seen him go unmatched since his ONE debut, stopping foes in Jo Nattawut, Samy Sana, and Superbon himself. And if the Belarusian can see off Grigorian later this summer, then fans will have a colossal rematch at hand for the end of the year.
