ONE Friday Fights 117 delivered another action-packed evening of martial arts as international stars competed for a coveted US$100,000 contract at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on 25 July.

In the main event, Thai sensation Yod-IQ Or Pimolsri secured his eighth consecutive victory with a hard-fought unanimous decision over Italy's Alessio Malatesta in the bantamweight Muay Thai main event that thrilled fans.

Yod-IQ dominated early with a variety of attacks whilst Malatesta absorbed punishment before responding in the second round with aggressive forward pressure and heavy punches, bringing the scorecards ever so closer.

The final round became decisive as both fighters recognised the close contest, with Yod-IQ relying on his kicking game whilst Malatesta continued his punching assault in thrilling fashion that left fans on their feet.

All three judges favoured the Thai fighter's attacks and awarded him with the win, extending Yod-IQ's record to 125-36-15 and maintaining his position as one of the division's most exciting prospects.
Australian striker Tyson Harrison made a spectacular return after 13 months away from action, demolishing American Kendu Irving via first-round TKO in devastating fashion at 2:12 of the opening round.

Harrison dropped Irving with a crisp jab within the first minute, and although the American recovered, a perfectly timed right cross crashed into his chin and sent him down for a second time.

Despite Irving's brave attempt to continue the fight on shaky legs, Harrison pressed his advantage with punches and elbows, forcing the referee to stop the contest. The win marked Harrison's 26th career victory and announced his emphatic return.
